Composer, Musical Director, Arranger
 

Toby is an accomplished composer, orchestrator and arranger. With a passion for collaboration and storytelling through music, Toby has worked extensively within theatre and film. 

Notable theatre works have included providing the music for two new musicals produced for final year musical theatre students at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (‘I’m Afraid of Amerikans’ and ‘A Permanent State of Emergency’). The latter of these was developed further in 2022 at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester. Toby has also written the music for a short musical based on ‘The Little Match Girl’ which was performed in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, and new musical ‘Christie Done It’ which was performed at the Cockpit Theatre, London.

 

Toby’s work has had international reach, collaborating on two short films based on Dante Alighieri’s writings with the Italian organisation InArceDantis. Alongside composition, Toby also has extensive experience working as an arranger and orchestrator, musical director and is a highly skilled pianist and conductor.
